Porfirio’s starts its Ode to Death Festival

As every year, October is the month we enjoy the most ancient traditions of Mexico, it is where we pay tribute to our loved ones on the day of the faithful departed and all saints.

Year after year in Porfirio’s, we prepare to offer you the best celebrations and this time from October 26th to November 6th you can enjoy our festival ”Ode to Death Festival” with our famous Pan de muerto! in collaboration with Turin ®. As it is well known, every year we perfect it and change its recipe until we achieve a plan that is worthy of awakening the best memories with its incredible aroma and flavor. Accompanied by two seasonal cocktails in collaboration with two exclusive Diageo brands; Don Julio 70 and J.W. Gold Label. Gold Label.

The “Pan de muerto” is one of the most representative desserts of Mexico, it consists of a circle-shaped bread whose flavor is usually orange; however, due to its popularity, the recipe has been changing and so have the ingredients and flavors.

In Porfirio’s we are a family restaurant of contemporary Mexican food and we are proud to have the most delicious recipes brought from different states of Mexico. Without a doubt, we are the ideal place if you like to enjoy good food and delight yourself with an incredible show at night. We have live mariachis, calenda and an acrobatic skate show.

What will be this year’s recipe?

This time our “Pan de Muerto” recipe has hazelnut and is filled with a delicious ice cream of your choice between vanilla, chocolate and marzipan flavors, as a special touch, it will be decorated with delicious colored wafers. This is definitely one of the desserts that you can not miss and surprise yourself with its delicious flavor.

In addition, you can pair it with our seasonal drinks that we have prepared in collaboration with Diageo: if fruity flavors are your thing then “Rojo Desdén” was created for you, as it is made with: Don Julio 70® , cranberry juice, lychee juice, pomegranate and a light touch of Aperol

If you prefer sweeter flavors, then the drink “El llanto de Kuxtal” is the right one for you, because it is made with; J.W. Gold Label®, maple honey, peach liqueur and a touch of passion fruit and maracuya and marigold blossom. Gold Label®, maple honey, peach liqueur and a touch of passion fruit and cempasúchil flower.
