Ode to Death: The Taste of a Tradition Revives at Porfirio’s

At Porfirio’s, every celebration is a tribute to what unites us: the flavor, the memory, and the roots that give life to our cuisine.
From October 15th to November 3rd, we pay homage to one of Mexico’s most cherished traditions with our “Ode to Death” festival, an experience that celebrates life through Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead).

A Tribute to Mexican Tradition

Our Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) is not just a dessert: it’s an offering to memory, made with the respect and passion that define Porfirio’s. Prepared with orange blossom essence, orange zest, and a cream cheese frosting filled with Turín® white chocolate, guava paste, queso de bola (ball cheese), and guava compote with cinnamon, cardamom, and lemon, each element was designed to honor tradition and elevate it to the level of a gourmet experience.

The Art of Sharing Memories

At Porfirio’s, we believe that the deepest flavors are those that stir emotions. Our Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) is served freshly baked, with its soft texture and sweet aroma that fills the air, inviting you to share it at the center of the table.
More than a dessert, it’s a symbol: a reminder that the best stories are written around flavor and company.

A Season That Invites You to Celebrate

During this time of year, every table at Porfirio’s becomes an altar where the past and present intersect. We invite you to experience the “Ode to Death” festival and discover how tradition is transformed into culinary art.
