Pan de muerto<\/b> has its roots in pre-Hispanic times, when indigenous cultures honored their dead with food offerings. With the arrival of the Spaniards, this tradition merged with wheat bread, giving rise to the form we know today, decorated with \u201cbones\u201d of dough that symbolize skulls and limbs. Today, pan de muerto is an essential element in <\/span>Day of the Dead<\/b> altars and has become a true culinary delight.<\/span><\/p>\n
