On October 27th, Vogue Mexico and Latin America<\/strong> hosted the first edition of its “Vogue Gala Day of the Dead”<\/strong>, paying tribute to Mexican heritage, where Grupo Anderson’s, Mexico’s leading restaurant consortium, was present with Porfirio’s<\/strong>, a brand known for having the best Mexican food with a contemporary touch.<\/p>\n

This year, the gala took place in the Historic Center of Mexico City. The objective of the event was to showcase and honor Mexican design and culture, where every corner was decorated with different concepts such as papel picado, catrinas, lion’s claw flowers and of course the famous and emblematic catrinas.<\/p>\n

This year at Porfirio’s<\/a> we had the privilege of being present during Vogue’s Day of the Dead Gala, being in charge of the catering,<\/strong> where each of the guests could taste our concept of urban and contemporary cuisine. During the event, diners were able to enjoy our most representative flavors of Mexico, with top quality ingredients and unique preparation techniques, accompanied by our exclusive seasonal “pan de muerto” recipe.<\/p>\n

The Fashion Happening was presented by Benito Santos<\/strong>, renowned Mexican designer, where he unveiled his latest collection, honoring the famous Mexican singer Juan Gabriel with each of his designs.<\/p>\n

This first edition was attended by celebrities such as: Natalia Jimenez<\/strong>, who was the hostess, Paulina Goto, Mariana Zaragoza, Alfredo Martinez, Renata Notni and Jay de la Cueva.<\/p>\n

At the end of the catwalk, the party began, where all the guests enjoyed a show in which Carlos Rivera<\/strong>, the star guest, impressed everyone with the lyrics of his best songs. To commemorate the Day of the Dead, he closed with the lyrics of “Recu\u00e9rdame”, where all the guests sang with feeling and emotion.<\/p>\n

To end the night we could not miss one of the most beautiful and emblematic traditions of our country, a line of mariachis, who came in playing the most recognized songs that all Mexicans carry in our hearts.<\/p>\n
