Originally from Scotland, this ancient drink gained popularity in early 1494 for being used for medicinal purposes, it was made by monks to relieve pain and sadness of the soul. The original term to refer to this drink was: “uisge beatha”, a term that was modified over the years to reach the popular name<\/span> “whiskey”.<\/b><\/p>\n

World Whisky Day<\/b> is celebrated on the third Saturday of May every year to honor a drink of international recognition, which is why, from May 1st to 31st, Porfirio’s is pleased to delight for the second consecutive year with its well-known Whisky Festival being the protagonist throughout the month of May in each of its units.<\/span><\/p>\n
